Keeping your SUN20 Servers box Up & Runnning resiliently
The MDC20 Power & Cooling Box (P&C Box), is a dedicated unit to match the power and cooling supply requirements of the SUN S20 Servers unit, when it might be installed in any location where there might be power supply problems or chilled water limitations, or wether it is preferred to operate the SUN S20 as a full stand-alone unit.
The MDC20 P&C Box is a standarized 20´ Hig Cube Container, which includes inside Power and Cooling plant equipment as Switchboards, UPS, Chiller,… to provide a secure and resilient service to the SUN S20 Servers container.
The Mains electrical supply can be through a single or dual power input
(N or N+1) from external power source(s); Genset(s) supply is optional (in N or N+1 configuration) and if supplied, an auto-transfer switch for single or dual Genset Emergency power supply connection is provided.
The internal power circuits are managed by dual A and B power circuits, with A and B splitted switchboards and cabling to supply servers´dual power supplies through twin routes and optimize its efficiency. Each circuit is protected by an MCB and RCD if required (TNS or TT networks).
Electrical infrastructure can be supplied to match NEMA (USA, Canada, Americas,...) or IEC standards (Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa) and voltages/frequencies. In order to mantain and protect the security of the SUN S20 P&C BOX, it is divided in two sections: one for the Electrical plant equipment (switcboards and UPS) and one for the Chiller.
The electrical section is protected with an inner fire protection shell that provides up to 90 min. fire protection and, more important, perfect thermal insulation against the environment. It is equipped with Remote Monitoring System, CCTV, Fire Detection and Extinguishing System, Acces Control system, High Security door,...
The Chiller can be supplied in N or N+1 configuration. If one (N) supplied, all critical components are redundant (dual pumps, dual compressors, etc...) to ensure complete resiliency.
Design is flexible and the MDC20 P&C BOX can be produced to any special requirements, installing specific UPS equipment, access control system or fire detection and extinguishing systems, as preferred by the customer.
